In India, the University of Ranchi in Jharkhand state had to cancel its post-graduation history paper on Thursday, after thousands of Muslims took to the streets protesting against a reference to the Prophet Mohammed, which they said was derogatory.
The university Vice Chancellor cancelled the paper after studying the history paper question which caused some Muslim organisations to march and ransack university offices
The police had to use force to control the mob.
The university has held an emergency meeting of its top officials and the lecturer who set the question.
The Chief Minister of the state has appealed for calm.

The UK Wants to Become a Centre of Islamic Studies.But one has to question - whether the students and faculty will be able to examine the subject of Islam in detail. Will real questions about Muhammad’s behaviour and Islam’s close relationship with the Pre-Islamic Kaaba and the gods and goddesses - be allowed to be asked?
Particularly with Saudi Arabia funding most of the Islamic centres at Britain’s Universities - will the students be able to have an open and rational debate on Islam - or will they be attacked if real questions about Islam and the Prophet are raised.
I see the whole thing becoming a madrassa - a fiasco in learning - in British Universities you will have to go in and practically have to recite the Koran - otherwise you may be attacked! |

His publisher, Amsterdam-based Meulenhoff, is in negotiations for an English-language translation.

Allah was the chief god of Muhammad’s family’s religion called Kaaba - once Muhammad decided to modernise his religion so as to bring his people (the Arabians from Arabia - specifically) out of the dark ages - he simply got rid of - i.e. killed anyone who dared worship and burnt the temples of - the three daughter goddesses of Allah - his father’s god/gods. And viola - he created a 'one' God religion.
