Pitt's tattoo tribute to New Orleans
    Irish Sun
    Tuesday 13th May, 2008
    (IANS)

Hollywood star Brad Pitt is paying tribute to the hurricane Katrina affected New Orleans by having a tattoo of it on his lower back.

Contactmusic.com reports that Pitt was seen showing off his new tattoo, but many couldn't figure out what the black lines and boxes represented. Some speculate that it could be markings inspired by a map of the levees in New Orleans, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Pitt has bought a home in New Orleans and is working hard on a major rehousing project in the city.
